Synopsis

To lead the development and implementation of proactive strategies to target leisure traffic in partnership with various tourism bodies

Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to penetrate high value affinity groups, existing and new, such as golfers, art lovers, etc to further support the commercial objectives of the company

Accountabilities

  • Develop and deliver a portfolio of projects funded by partner tourism bodies of varying variety, value and size to support the delivery of the commercial objectives
  • Grow the network of tourism partnerships across key destinations that are part of the Etihad network to enable further leisure traffic development
  • Plan and manage Etihad’s marketing programmes and promotions focused at the corporate segment including but not restricted to TMCs and trade bodies to ensure the airline brand’s interests are well secured and that the airline benefits from such partnerships.
  • Partner with the Tourism and Business Partnership Team and drive the

development of relevant Tourism strategies and marketing plans

  • Act as the focal  point of contact, representing Etihad, for tourism authorities & proactively strengthen the stakeholder base for Etihad, securing maximum third party funding and in-kind contributions
  • Give expert advice and guidance to all Etihad markets on the use of tourism partnerships to achieve their local commercial objectives

Education & Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management (a specialization in Marketing would be a distinct advantage)
  • At least 7 years of marketing experience, of which 4 should have been spent at a senior level, within travel industry
  • Exposure to and understanding of tourism marketing
  • Creative & innovative with extensive experience in channel development
  • Strong expertise in consumer marketing with an in-depth understanding in consumer behavior
  • Strong project management, communication, multi-tasking and leadership skills
