Synopsis
Responsible for managing Etihad’s complete beverage programme including selection, supply, and stock control of all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for onboard and hub lounges. Ensure efficient loading of beverages for onboard and provisioning for lounges to maximize product offering across guest touchpoints.
Accountabilities
- Manage the beverage budget for the Etihad global network for all beverages both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, with an annual beverage spend of USD 10+M per annum
- Implement and drive Etihad’s beverage strategy and requirements across all onboard and lounge categories including outstations, 3rd party suppliers, special events and promotional activations.
- Control ordering and forecasting of all beverage items in line with supply chain requirement, and timelines to enable suppliers to demand plan and forecast production and logistical requirements.
- Develop new beverage menus, ensuring compliance with defined standards and contractual Scope of Work with innovation and product efficiencies in mind.
- Define and develop detailed standard Etihad recipes and product specifications for beverages across the network for cabin crew and service providers onboard and lounges.
- Manage key relationships directly with external suppliers and internal teams to deliver the Etihad beverage requirement, style, and standards against clear plans.
- Conduct regular checks and audits, reporting findings and results, to ensure delivery is to contractual specifications.
- Monitor and report on product quality performance on beverage delivery with detailed reports to colleagues and senior management to build and drive delivery of improved consistency of Etihad services onboard and in lounges.
- Manage quality and consistency standards of all F&B documentation such as menus and quick access recipe cards.
- Beverage menu design to agreed standards for inflight and global lounges.
- Implement standardized specifications and limits network wide to ensure product optimization.
- Beverage styling and photography for social media and corporate assets, e.g. Cradle.
- Procurement & supply chain link with Etihad and suppliers to develop scope and evaluations of products to enable efficient sourcing or required products and manage overall budget impact.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in hotel, restaurant, or Airline or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years' work experience in hospitality, specializing in beverage control including forecasting.
- Leadership and coordination of large teams to deliver key, complex programs.
- Concise and in-depth knowledge of all Food & Beverage related areas focusing on water, coffee, Champagne, wines, beer, spirits.
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
