Synopsis
The Lead Production Planning Engineer reports to the Manager Production Planning for the daily operational/cabin defect responsibilities, ensuring that all functions and requirements are fulfilled and coordinated in accordance with Etihad Airways and Aviation Authorities requirements.
Accountabilities
- Maintains oversight and proactively assists departmental functions to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Monitors and assesses Etihad's aircraft maintenance operation to ensure levels of serviceability and TDR are maximized.
- Technical assessment of all EY CAMO and Third-party plannable tasks / work packages to identify and arrange the appropriate skill/scope, tools, facilities required to facilitate timely and safe maintenance practice using approved MIS.
- Identify critical tasks (such as duplicate inspections, ETOPS) to align with regulations and evaluate all resources requirements.
- Negotiate with relevant stakeholders to secure all necessary resources such as Hangar/ Bay parking spaces, Towing arrangements, GSE, other Special skills, etc.
- Liaise with CAMO to evaluate the requirements on all Technical Documents (EO/EWIs, etc.)
- Responsible for workload profiling, cost control for all maintenance inputs.
- Monitor all input parameters and engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure improvement efficiency and reliability of future inputs.
- Support all audit requirements for internal and external audits.
- Prepare all necessary reports to facilitate efficient Production Planning.
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to meet all Production demands.
- Ensures that all work performed and completed at Etihad is in accordance with its processes and procedures, is done in a safe manner.
- Familiar with, enforces and follows the procedures stipulated in the Safety & Quality Management Manual (SQMM) and becomes an active participant in the workplace safety program.
- Encourages colleagues and is actively involved in the promotion of a positive reporting culture, by reporting any unsafe acts, unsafe conditions or safety risk.
Education & Experience
- Tertiary qualifications that meet the eligibility requirements for membership as a chartered engineer (e.g. Bachelor’s degree in the field of Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/ Electronic Engineering) or Valid aircraft maintenance license (UAE GCAA)
- 2 Etihad Aircraft Types (Level 3) is preferable.
- Minimum of 5 years job-related experience in production planning environment
- Has attended all the relevant training as defined in TPM 3.92
