Synopsis

Produce weight and balance documentation of all Etihad flights in coordination with various stakeholders, government departments and service providers; ensuring regulatory and company standards are upheld with the ultimate target of delivering; operational excellence, compilation of critical and legal flight paperwork.

Accountabilities

  • Load planning for various aircraft types in accordance with current company (and other airline) weight and balance requirements. As applicable to the operating airline, perform functions including flight creation, estimated zero fuel weight calculation, production of a Loading Instruction Report (LIR), production of a preliminary and final load and trim sheet and any additional required documentation.
  • Optimizing aircraft payload and fuel uplift by creating efficiencies through the use of applicable ULD hold versions and load distribution in order to achieve CG targets, resulting in improved fuel efficiency.
  • Ensure all weight and balance requirements have been satisfied prior to issuance of the LIR and load and trim sheet, and that the issued documents are in accordance with all applicable regulations and published limitations.
  • Perform all required aircraft weight and balance functions for EY and/or other airlines on a shift basis for arriving and departing aircraft.
  • Provide safe, secure, compliant, accurate and punctual service to all airlines and ensure activities are in accordance with regulatory and operating airline requirements.
  • Responsible for providing the flight crew, Flight Dispatch and all airlines with applicable information at applicable times in line with operating airline requirements, e.g. estimated zero fuel weight for flight planning purposes, final zero fuel weight upon flight closure to enable maximum fuel uplift (trim fuel transfer, where applicable).
  • Effective communication and coordination with applicable stakeholders in the weight and balance process, e.g. the person responsible for turnaround coordination, cargo handling agent, Flight Dispatch, passenger services/flight editing, flight crew and Ramp Supervisor.
  • Responsible for the production and timely transmission of all post-flight messages, e.g. CPM, LDM and UCM.
  • Report identified hazards and occurrences and escalate risks to appropriate management, as applicable.

Education & Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Educated to secondary school level.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service role, ideally with load planning experience or relevant training.
