Synopsis

Take charge of driving initiatives that enhance organizational design effectiveness! Join our team in shaping and advancing OD policies and processes to ensure sustained organizational health amidst the evolving business needs of Etihad Airways.

We're seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of frameworks for reviewing manpower budget, manpower models, and workforce requirements. Work closely with the leadership team to create long-term manpower models using advanced industrial engineering studies, tools, and techniques. Accountabilities

  • Engage with key business stakeholders and leadership team on complex OD issues and solicit agreement and support on sensitive and potentially contentious organization design ad sizing strategies.
  • Champion manpower efficiencies, organization design principles and establish governance mechanisms to uphold targeted manpower efficiencies OD principles on spans, layers and grade to grade reporting.
  • Drive OD, manpower planning process re-engineering, change management programmers and implement intervention plans to address dysfunctional aspects of processes, procedures, structures and systems, realign them to fit current business realities and goals and then develop plans to implement new changes.
  • Conduct benchmarking studies of efficiencies and advise on long term efficiency opportunities across various divisions within EAG
  • Drive the requirements with COEs in organizational development to address reward and benefits, succession planning, workforce engagement & development, change management and continuous improvement towards a high performing team culture.
  • Take an active lead in the annual manpower planning budget process. Champion long term manpower budget effectiveness of USD 1700 M for EAG. Challenge structures and processes and deliver an effective and cost-efficient manpower plan through engagement with key business stakeholders and Financial Planning
  • Establish rules in the review of all business cases involving new positions and revised organisation structures and grades. Champion initiatives aimed at increasing organizational capability on designing effective structures and optimal manpower costs aligned to business strategies. 

Education & Experience

  • Requires a University Degree education
  • Professional Change Management certification with Lean Six Sigma GB or BB is an advantage.
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in Organizational Design, ideally with practical experience in an airline or a large multi-functional/international organization.
  • Knowledge in spans and layers, Manpower modeling, and excellent understanding of job design approaches
  • Outstanding Change Management, Communication and presentation skills 
  • High digital literacy with proficiency in the use of MS Office, LSS software's like SPSS, MiniTab, JMP, Industrial Engineering software like Simulation and Queuing models and transportation modelling, Process designing tools like ARIS, IBM works etc. advantageous.
