Synopsis:

The Manager Style, Image and Hospitality is instrumental in leading the continued progression of the Etihad style and image as well as hospitality standards from initial concept design to development and production with a commitment to fashion forward style, quality, innovation and Emirati identity across ground, lounge, and inflight guest touchpoints. This position plays a critical role in ensuring all visual and stylistic as well as hospitality elements continuously remains current and continues to evolve with the brand and trends without losing our identity.

Accountabilities:

Design & Development:

  • Define and implement style & image strategies that align with Etihad Airways' brand values and guest experience objectives
  • Evaluate cross market trends through industry benchmarking exercises and prepare comprehensive product briefs/scope of work for RFPs.
  • Lead the continued development and enhancements of all style & image standards and uniform related products in alignment with the brand evolution; while ensuring they remain relevant and appropriate for the multi-national workforce
  • Evaluate current style & image standards and products seeking continued opportunities for improvements and innovation from a design, material, sustainability, and budgetary perspective
  • Identify opportunities for budget efficiencies through smart design and material selection
  • Define the hospitality DNA of the airline based on the brand platform and our identity as the national carrier of the UAE
  • Develop and design the key hospitality pillars and propositions that could seamlessly be integrated and delivered across the various guest touchpoints
  • Assist the delivery teams with execution of hospitality elements and concepts across the guest journey ensuring consistency and quality
  • Maintain design, concept, material library, and guidelines

 

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage multiple design and development projects simultaneously across portfolio ensuring timely delivery and coordination between teams and projects delivered within defined budgets
  • Define project timelines, resources, milestones, and deliverables while adhering to project management best practices overseeing risk management, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to maintain project momentum
  • Ensure appropriate approvals are received from the respective committees for all projects
  • Cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders (Product & Hospitality Development, Brand, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Procurement, etc.) to ensure smooth launches and successful go-to-market executions
  • Manage relationships and contract terms with external partners and vendors to ensure the delivery of high-quality designs, programmes and hospitality services that meet Etihad Airways' standards.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Fashion Design, Apparel Merchandising or Textiles, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospitality management and/or Fashion industry, with a focus on service design, guest experience and fashion or uniform design and management
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to deliver initiatives that enhance brand perception and customer satisfaction
  • Strong understanding of hospitality trends, fashion trends, customer expectations, and industry best practices.​
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
