Synopsis
The Manager, Talent Assessment and Psychometrics is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of talent assessment strategies and psychometric tools used across Etihad with a focus on leadership, pilots, cabin crew and UAE National entry level selection. This role needs to ensure Etihad deploys evidence-based and scalable methods to assess future candidates and employees' skills, abilities, and potential to deliver on its growth and talent agenda over the next 5 years. A key element of this role is the ability to identify trends and patterns in assessment data across specific workforce segments to inform talent and business decision making.
Accountabilities
- Lead the development and execution of talent assessment approaches that align with Etihad’s broader Talent priorities and organisational development goals.
- Work closely with key business stakeholders, HRBPs and talent acquisition teams to understand organisational needs and provide insights on how assessments can drive better decision-making.
- Identify and implement innovative assessment practices, platforms and tools to enhance selection, identification of leadership potential and support career progression.
- Oversee the deployment validation, and administration of psychometric tests (e.g., cognitive ability tests, personality inventories, skills assessments).
- Ensuring that assessments are reliable, valid, and aligned to Etihad’s leadership and functional skills/competency frameworks.
- Analyse test results and apply robust psychometric principles to interpret findings accurately, advising business stakeholders on the best course of action based on data insights.
- Lead the development and training of internal teams on the proper use and interpretation of assessment tools and data.
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations of assessment practices to ensure consistency, fairness, and alignment with Etihad’s business needs.
- Oversee the successful selection and implementation of third-party assessment tools, ensuring they align Etihad’s internal requirements.
- Advise on best practices for implementing assessments at various stages of the employee lifecycle, from recruitment to career development.
- Conduct overall assessment analysis across specific workforce segments/personas to identify key themes and learnings and share appropriate insights with relevant business stakeholders
Education & Experience
- Graduate or Post Graduate in Psychology, Organisational Behavior, Industrial-Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in psychometric assessment/tools (e.g., Saville’s, Hogan etc)
- 7+ years’ experience in deploying and debriefing psychometric assessments across a highly diverse/operational workforce.
- Strong understanding of assessment tools, including cognitive ability tests, personality inventories, situational judgment tests, and 360-degree feedback.
- Experience in applying statistical techniques to analyse data and generate actionable insights
- Broad knowledge of best in class HR technologies, including HRIS, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and people analytics tools.
- Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the organization.
- Business acumen and the ability to understand and align talent assessment practices with business goals.
