Synopsis

The ‘OSH Officer – Risk and Contingency Management’ reports to the Manager OSH Monitoring and Performance, to support the department in delivery of Occurrence Risk Assessments, Emergency evacuation drills, as well as the oversight and management of first aid kits, fire warden kits and the fire warden and first aider responder lists. They are a core OSH team member in delivering assurance that Etihad Airways are prepared and able to perform appropriately to identified hazards and emergencies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all of our staff and visitors. As a trained risk assessment facilitator, they are also relied upon to advise and drive effective hazard and risk awareness among Etihad Airways Leadership during Risk assessment workshops.

Accountabilities

· Ensuring compliance to Emergency Response and contingency planning procedural compliance.

· Assessing Emergency Response drills for all Etihad Airways facilities

· Delivering effective Drill Assessment Reports

· Facilitating risk assessments as directed by OSH Management

· Assigning and Driving closure of Corrective action plans and risk mitigation strategies.

· Responsible for supporting the department by implementing the audit & inspection plan as directed by management.

· Conducting Hazard Evaluations as directed by Management.

· Responsible for assisting to follow up on finding action plans.

· Supporting the compliant and effective implementation of the OSH processes and procedures ensuring compliance with the Etihad standards and all applicable local OSH standards and requirements.

· Reporting any an all Safety or quality concerns, occurrence and/or hazards as per the Etihad procedures.

· Any other duties as directed by OSH Management to support the effective delivery of safety outcome

Education & Experience

· Experience as a first aider and/or fire warden (Required)

· Experience working with Emergency response plans, contingency plans, first aid or similar (Highly Desirable)

· Experience showing competence as a risk assessor or risk assessment facilitator (Highly Advantageous)

· Minimum 3 years experience working in a safety or quality environment in a technical industry. (Required)

· Completed training as a lead auditor (such as RBAQSA, BARS, ISO etc.) (Desirable)

· Experience from high-risk technical industries (advantageous)

· University degree or significant OSH industry experience and training (desirable)

· Nebosh certificate or similar OSH qualification (Desirable)
