Synopsis

The Product Manager – Airline Platforms & Digital Projects is responsible for owning and delivering high-impact digital initiatives across the airline’s customer and commercial platforms. This role sits at the intersection of strategy, investment, and execution, leading initiatives from business case and executive approval through to delivery and value realization. 

 

The role partners closely with Product Managers, Engineering, UX, Data, Commercial, and Senior Leadership to drive measurable business outcomes across digital touchpoints, while leveraging AI-enabled tools and frameworks to accelerate delivery and decision-making.

Accountabilities

  • Own and lead complex digital initiatives across the airline digital ecosystem, spanning web, mobile, booking, payments, loyalty, self-service, and post-booking journeys.
  • Develop investment-grade business cases, including financial modelling, ROI analysis, and benefits realization, to support executive decision-making.
  • Translate strategic objectives into clear product initiatives and delivery roadmaps, aligning priorities across product, technology, and business teams.
  • Lead executive-level storytelling, preparing and presenting concise, data-driven updates, recommendations, and investment proposals.
  • Partner with Product Managers to ensure initiatives are customer-centric, outcome-driven, and aligned with long-term platform strategy.
  • Drive delivery governance across multiple teams, managing dependencies, risks, and trade-offs to ensure timely and high-quality execution.
  • Leverage AI tools, analytics, and automation frameworks to improve discovery, delivery efficiency, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
  • Define and track success metrics including conversion, revenue uplift, adoption, NPS, and operational efficiency.
  • Act as a senior stakeholder interface, balancing commercial priorities, technical constraints, and customer needs across a complex airline environment.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in design (e.g. interaction, product, industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS) or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital product management, product leadership, or digital transformation roles within airlines, travel, or large-scale consumer platforms.
  • Proven experience owning initiatives end-to-end: from business case and investment approval to delivery and benefits realization.
  • Deep expertise in eCommerce or airline digital ecosystems, including & not limited to booking, payments, loyalty, self-service, merchandising, and disruption management.
  • Demonstrated experience working with agile, hybrid, or scaled delivery models in complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong financial and analytical capability, including investment modelling and performance tracking.
  • Experience applying AI-driven tools and frameworks to product discovery, delivery optimization, analytics, or decision support.
  • Ability to operate credibly at executive and board level, with strong communication and influencing skills.
