Synopsis

The Production Trainer develops Technical training courses and course material as required, meeting Etihad’s corporate vision and the Civil Aviation’s regulatory training requirements. This will include developing theoretical, practical and refresher training courses on Technical Documents and Procedures, Technical Induction, Safety including Human factors, Aircraft systems and technologies and delivering to the Technical Division covering Technicians, Engineers, Troubleshooters, Team leaders and Shift Managers. Including third party vendors in outstation locations as per regulatory requirements.  Conduct practical assessments and mentor trainee Engineers and junior Technicians.through a programme of classroom training and on the job training.

 

Accountabilities

Design, develop, plan & deliver theory, practical, & refresher training courses to all levels of the Technical Division in order to meet departmental needs, and to comply with GCAA, and international civil aviation regulations and training Build training content to be delivered in person and on line through the Etihad learning platformsMaintain and update staff training records for Etihad Technical Operations Divsion Produce, devise and implement relevant policies and procedures specific to this position & the development of the Technical training function in line with regulatory requirements and corporate demands, creating an opportunity of growth and development for all employees.Generation of examination questions and review of course content for continuous improvement Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements related to aviation maintenance training, and incorporate relevant updates into training programs.Perform maintenance certification duties as an authorised engineer displaying proper procedural implementation and leading by example on professional and technical standards Implement and provide advise on necessary changes to the EY TPM in relation to training to ensure quality standards, safety and compliance  and best practices are maintained Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders as assigned by the Technical Training and Standards manager such as operations, quality assurance, and safety, to integrate training initiatives into the curriculum architecture.Carry out technical assessments, examination invigilation & mentor junior technicians and trainees  Produce, devise and implement relevant policies and procedures specific to this position & the development of the Technical training function in line with regulatory requirements and corporate demands, creating an opportunity of growth and development for all employees.Facilitate the department’s technical training goals by ensuring all training competencies are completed in a timely and effective manner.

Education & Experience

A valid GCAA license and or EASA Part 66 /ICAO type II and /or an appropriate Engineering degreeRecognized Apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline:

Formal technical training in at least 1 Etihad aircraft typeCertified trainer or recognized training qualification Minimum of 8 years of experience in aviation maintenance, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in technical training, assessment and developmentStrong knowledge of aviation regulations, including FAA, GCAA, EASA.

Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and other training technology platforms is a plus.
