Synopsis
Responsible primarily for the compliance with all GCAA CAR-M and CAP-Ops 1 requirements in connection with Etihad aircraft engines to maintain continued airworthiness.
Accountabilities
- Ensure cost-effective engineering technical support to the operation and maintenance of the Etihad Engine/ APU fleet
- Support the Lead Engineer in providing program management of outsourced maintenance and engineering activities, including liaising with Engine/APU, component OEMs and maintenance providers.
- Assist the Lead Engineer in managing engine and component modification standards, specifications, and implementation.
- Assess engine and component Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, and issue associated Document Assessment Reports (DARs), Engineering Orders and fleet campaigns.
- Assist with the management of Engine/APU removal program & shop visits, including reviewing and approving engine workscopes & deviations.
- Assist with lease engines induction and return.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance to Maintenance Control Centre (MCC), when required.
- Review Engine Health Monitoring reports and notifications from OEMs, and issue required maintenance instructions to address any anomalies.
- Support the investigation of in-service events, delays and technical problems, and implement corrective action program to improve engine and related component reliability.
- Provide technical support to other departments including Maintenance, Technical Contracts, Warranty, and Planning in relation to Propulsion issues.
- Issue and revise in-house publications (Technical Notices & Publication amendments (TPA)
- Encourage colleagues and is actively involved in the promotion of a positive reporting culture, by reporting any unsafe acts, unsafe conditions or safety risks
Education & Experience
- Bachelor degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical Engineering or ICAO Type 11 AMEL with Type.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in aircraft Engines/ APU fleet management.
