Synopsis
The Safety Promotion Manager will play a critical role in fostering and enhancing the safety culture within the organization. This position involves proactively working closely with all parties, particularly with the safety and compliance analyst, technical training team and corporate safety, to generate promotional material based on contextual findings from various reporting systems, including investigations, audits, and reports. The role will also establish and maintain a calendar of promotional materials to support the ongoing development of a robust safety culture.
Accountabilities
Safety Promotion Material Development:
• Collaborate with the safety and compliance analyst to analyze data from safety reports, investigations, audits, and other relevant sources.
• Develop engaging and informative safety promotion materials such as newsletters, bulletins, posters, and digital content.
• Ensure that all safety communication materials are accurate, relevant, and aligned with the organization’s safety policies and objectives.
Calendar Management:
• Establish and maintain a calendar of safety promotion activities to ensure regular and timely dissemination of safety information.
• Coordinate with different departments to schedule safety training sessions, workshops, and other promotional events.
Safety Culture Enhancement:
• Support initiatives aimed at enhancing the organization's safety culture through effective communication and promotion strategies.
• Identify key safety messages and themes that need to be reinforced within the organization and ensure these are communicated effectively.
Collaboration and Coordination:
• Work closely with the technical training team to integrate safety messages into training programs.
• Liaise with various departments to gather and share safety-related information and best practices.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Utilize data from various reporting systems to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and present reports on safety promotion activities and their impact on the organization’s safety culture.
Continuous Improvement:
• Stay updated with the latest safety promotion strategies and tools.
• Regularly review and improve the safety promotion processes to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the organization.
• Review external industry experiences and leading practices to ensure the organization is learning from industry experience and implementing relevant improvements where appropriate.
Education & Experience
• Education: Recognised certification in Safety Management, Communication, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 10 years experience in a safety related field or communication role within the aviation or a related industry (preferred).
Skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create engaging and informative safety promotion materials.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for creating and disseminating promotional content.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Analytical skills to interpret safety data and develop targeted promotion strategies.
