Synopsis
Senior Manager for Ethics & Compliance will have an overall responsibility for the design, implementation support and monitoring of compliance programs in fields of Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Conflicts of interest management, Sanction & Trade Compliance, Third-Party Management and our Speak Up program.
This person will also provide support to the Legal team, in relation to Data Privacy compliance program and to the HR team in relation to Non-Retaliation. The position administratively reports GM Etihad Airport Services (EAS) and functionally to the Head of Compliance at ADQ Aviation & Aerospace Services (ADQ AAS) and will have people management of a team of experts within the area of business partner HR, training & communication, internal investigations and monitoring as well as trade compliance both within EAS and ADQ AAS.
As part of Compliance team at ADQ AAS, Ethics & compliance team has a main responsibility to drive, enable and support responsible business conduct at all levels in the organisation. This is done though establishing formal Compliance programs as well as working actively with responsible leadership and culture.
Accountabilities
- Own and develop compliance framework to facilitate a “compliance culture” at all levels in the organisation.
- Manage the extended compliance team, comprising of ethics & compliance officers within the subsidiaries of ADQ AAS.
- Implement compliance methodology and process for ensuring that the compliance programs are risk based and developed based on an evolving risk landscape, regulation and lessons learned.
- Develop and manage platforms where relevant employees could access relevant steering documents, reporting & monitoring, training tools.
- Own and manage the Ethics Ambassador program, including relevant processes for business partner risk management.
- Provide processes and tools e.g. training material, due diligence, internal controls, surveys, reporting templates to support local implementation and monitoring of compliance work.
- Develop and maintain compliance training program to ensure that all employees have received relevant training at least once a year.
- Ensure that compliance related internal controls are integrated in all relevant processes.
- Drive proactive communication and awareness of compliance, including conducting the annual business ethics awareness survey.
- Conduct annual root cause assessments (in collaboration with internal audit function), to identify systemic internal control weaknesses/ gaps related to compliance.
- Active support for Head of Compliance in preparing reports to the Audit & Risk Committee(s) of the Board on a quarterly basis.
- Prepare data and metrics for the purpose of external reporting and external auditing.
- Prepare the external compliance reports on a periodic basis.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, finance, legal or another closely related field.
- CFE, CAMS, CCEP, ICA certified or similar internationally recognized certification in relevant field.
- Preference for Big Four trained with at least 8 years PQE.
- Aviation industry experience is considered a plus.
