Synopsis

The Solutions & Analytics Analyst is a key member of the Solutions and Innovation team, supporting the Pricing and Revenue Management (RM) function with a strong focus on systems, analytics, and automation.

This role sits at the intersection of commercial decision‑making, data, and technology. You will work closely with Pricing Managers, Revenue Management teams, and external vendors to enhance pricing and RM systems, automate configurations, and deliver data‑driven insights that directly influence revenue performance.

The role is well suited to a technically strong analyst who enjoys working hands‑on with systems, coding, and data, and who can translate business requirements into scalable analytical and system‑based solutions. Prior airline experience is beneficial but not essential - technical capability and problem‑solving mindset are critical.

Accountabilities

  • Act as a key technical and analytical support for Pricing and Revenue Management teams, responding to day‑to‑day system and data enquiries.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Pricing and RM systems, including inputs, outputs, algorithms, configurations, and system limitations.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to define, test, and implement system enhancements, bug fixes, and configuration changes.
  • Automate system configurations and processes across multiple points of sale and user groups to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Design, build, and maintain analytical tools, reports, and dashboards to support commercial decision‑making and revenue optimisation.
  • Manipulate and analyse large datasets using SQL, Python, and R to generate insights and respond to ad‑hoc business requests.
  • Apply advanced analytical techniques (descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, prescriptive) to support pricing, forecasting, and optimisation activities.
  • Support the development and testing of new analytical capabilities and in‑house solutions, either independently or in collaboration with vendors.
  • Coordinate and support user acceptance testing (UAT) for RM system upgrades, including defining test scenarios and validating outcomes.
  • Monitor system usage, user actions, and data quality, providing insights and recommendations to improve effectiveness and adoption.
  • Maintain system health through routine checks, data quality assurance, and automation of recurring tasks.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in analytics, systems support, data science, or operations research within a commercial or operational environment.
  • Strong hands‑on experience with SQL and data science programming languages such as Python and R.
  • Demonstrated experience working with large datasets, building reports, automations, and analytical solutions for business users.
  • Experience working with cloud‑based data warehouses and analytics platforms (e.g. Azure Synapse Analytics, Google BigQuery, Snowflake) is preferred.
  • Experience supporting or working with pricing, forecasting, optimisation, or commercial systems is highly desirable.
  • Aviation or airline industry experience is an advantage but not a requirement - strong technical capability and the ability to learn complex systems quickly are essential.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, technical teams, and external vendors in a fast‑paced, operational environment.
