Synopsis

Analyse, assess, and monitor pest activity by leading investigations and audits in the identification of pests and execution of pest management procedures

Accountabilities

  1. Plan, schedule, supervise, and execute Integrated Pest Management techniques to prevent, protect, and react against all type of public health pests within company and client premises.
  2. Investigate and identification public health pests with intent to identify the root causes of each pest sighting or complaint and develop and implement corrective actions using appropriate IPM techniques.
  3. Actively seek to reduce the risk of pest entry, harborage and proliferation incidents by means of monitoring, auditing, checks, training and support PCO within department in the monitoring, maintaining and scheduling of the ordering of shift tasks.
  4. Liaise with stakeholders, clients, and higher management on public health pest implications and treatment protocols.
  5. Ensure equipment, chemicals, and pesticides are stored, handled, mixed, and applied in line with health, safety, and environmental considerations and regulations and in a cost-effective manner.
  6. Auditing & preparing specifications for pest control activities to be performed by team members and contractors.
  7. Ensure that the Pest Management team is fully supplied with the correct quantity of tools and supplies to meet its established IPM plan by liaising with Pest Controllers and Pest Control Officer

Education & Experience

  • Secondary-level diploma or higher (Biological/Environmental Sciences is an advantage).
  • Good problem solving & communication skills with proficiency in written and spoken English.
  • Minimum of 2 years as a catering assistant or equivalent. Experience working in large catering or food manufacturing facility is an asset.
