Cargo Technology Business Analyst

We are looking for 2 Business Analysts - Technology & Innovation who will be responsible for facilitating change through eliciting, analysing and managing Cargo technology enabled project requirements through the delivery lifecycle; on-time and within cost and quality targets enabling the design and delivery of solutions to achieve business outcomes and benefits adhering to governance frameworks, tools, processes, policies, procedures and standards.


  • Elicit, analyse and manage technology enabled project requirements through the delivery lifecycle in accordance with Etihad Aviation Group governance frameworks, tools, processes, policies, procedures and standards - ensuring all external supplier resources adhere to Etihad policies and procedures
  • Establish, communicate, gain commitment to and execute business analysis plans / schedules to deliver the project scope and outcomes
  • Establish, document and gain commitment to traceable end to end prioritised functional & non-functional requirements and supporting models identifying related benefits, metrics and kpis
  • Participate in vendor selection and procurement processes through reviewing & evaluating responses, solutions and undertaking fit-gap analysis
  • Collaborate with architects, solution designers, developers and provide detailed understanding of the project requirements
  • Collaborate with testing teams to design test scenarios and cases, evaluate results and resolve defects
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of organisational change management deliverables
  • Complete requirements traceability analysis identifying deviation from agreed requirements
  • Undertake analysis to support the completion of project change requests
  • Establish, manage and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve the project and business outcomes
  • Effectively communicate task, risk, issue, assumption and dependency progress to all relevant stakeholders
  • Effectively identify and articulate risks, issues, assumptions and dependencies resolving those assigned
  • Provide feedback / suggestions to continually improve project management frameworks, processes and tools



  • Bachelor’s Degree with 5+  years relevant work experience
  • 5 plus years of Airline of which 3 years must be in an Air Cargo environment as a Business Analyst – either leading or as a key contributor
  • Recognised Business Analysis qualification (e.g. CBAP, BSC, PMI-PBA)
  • Competent in SDLC tools (e.g. Jira, Rational)
  • Competent in Process Mapping Tools
  • Additional certifications and/or training in Change Management, Process Improvement (e.g. Lean Six Sigma), SDLC (e.g. Waterfall, Agile), and Innovation (e.g. Design Thinking) preferred
  • Competent with MS Office and project management software
