Synopsis

To execute government strategies; run lobbying activities and coordinate relationship with government entities with a goal of strengthening EAG’s reputation and influence. Provide analytical support for a variety of issues related to Government Affairs using available and pertinent/reliable sources. Organize, and update relevant records of Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, and Incoming and outgoing Letters and Minutes of Meetings. Participate in meetings, conferences, and project team activities and keep proper records of proceedings. Answering inquiries, replying to official correspondence and compiling various reports and actively following-up on issues of high importance

Accountabilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Supporting other Etihad departments by facilitating contact and communicating necessary information with UAE diplomatic missions abroad.
  • Establish and maintain high-level communications channel with UAE diplomatic missions by demonstrating high-level support.
  • organizing and updating relevant records of agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, Briefs and incoming and outgoing Letters and Minutes of Meetings for the department's reference and use which supports the Government Affairs team in their preparations.
  • Liaise between all departments to ensure proper communications and reporting practices.
  • Provide support to the Senior Manager Government Affairs Serving as an EAG GA team representative and Brand ambassador at both AUH local and UAE federal level.
  • Maintaining effective relations with all AUH local and UAE Federal entities.
  • With the guidance of the Senior Manager Government Affairs; support and advance EAG new initiatives in multiple jurisdictions across the UAE.
  • Execute strategies and tactics to advance EAG business objectives and advocate EAG's policy positions through both direct and indirect lobbying.
  • Research, analyze and contribute to the proactive identification of policy impacting the aviation industry in general, and EAG in particular.
  • Analyze complex legislative and intergovernmental public policy issues and present to a non-technical audience.
  • Work closely with various departments of the company to identify, understand and manage Government related issues and regulatory matters in alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Education & Experience

    EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE



  • Degree in business/public administration, law or political sciences.
  • Arabic native speaker and fluent English
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Analytical skills (e.g. ability to analyse and abstract complex relations, and technical texts such as laws and regulations).
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills.
  • Post holder must be able to demonstrate experience in dealing with Government Officials and institutions.
