Synopsis

The Head of Europe Sales is a senior commercial leader responsible for the strategic direction, execution, and performance of all commercial activities across Europe and the UK.
With a core focus on revenue generation, market expansion, and profitability, the role plays a critical part in delivering sustainable commercial success. The Head of will lead the sales team in Europe to drive the commercial target and lead cross-functional initiatives that drive growth, enhance competitiveness, and align with Etihad’s global strategy.

Accountabilities

Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy
•    Own and execute sales strategies across all B2B channels with special focus on growing Corporate and TMC revenue.
•    Deliver revenue and yield growth through effective planning, pricing, and product positioning.
•    Identify new opportunities through market analysis and trend forecasting.
•    Align commercial activities with network planning and capacity strategies.

Sales Leadership
•    Lead the regional sales organization with clear KPIs, targets, and performance management.
•    Build a results-driven sales culture across indirect channels.
•    Deploy resources strategically to maximize productivity and efficiency.

Country & Regional Management
•    Serve as the commercial lead for the regions, ensuring alignment across teams.
•    Monitor revenue performance and optimize commercial investments for maximum return.
•    Ensure compliance with corporate governance and local operational standards.

Stakeholder Engagement
•    Cultivate senior-level relationships with key partners: travel agents, corporates, embassies, tourism boards, and airports.
•    Represent Etihad at trade shows, forums, and industry events to strengthen influence and visibility.

Leadership & Talent Development
•    Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional team.
•    Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
•    Support leadership development and succession planning.

Education & Experience

•    Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Aviation, or a related field.
•    15+ years of commercial experience in aviation or travel, with 10+ years in senior leadership roles.
•    Proven success in driving significant revenue growth across diverse, multi-country markets.
•    Strong expertise in sales strategy, marketing, PR, and public affairs.
•    Exceptional analytical, commercial, and financial acumen.
•    Fluent in English; other regional languages are an advantage.
